as the title suggests gonna be talking about the roles the yogs have in the au and their relation to each other. considering these guys as the main characters for now since they have the most content I've thought of so far lmao. but for sure most of them are set as main characters in the au. expect this to be revised in the future. also enjoy the bullet-points, I do not have the energy to write short cohesive paragraphs

Dark! William Au

Dark!William Abbott AU begins when he doesn't get his Hogwarts letter at the age of 11. It is a huge blow to his pureblood family. Even if they love Will, he still gets sent to a regular boarding school, far away from the Abbott manor while his parents try to keep their family's reputation afloat after the news appeared that their only son is a squib. William goes from feeling loved his whole life to being discarded by the entire wizarding community. 

He hates the boarding school he is at. He is not strong, he is too soft and kind for this place. He gets bullied a lot during his first year, and gets beat up so badly the first month that he has permanent scars. The only visible one is his forehead on the right side: he hides it behind the curtain of his hair. Will hopes he can convince his parents to transfer him somewhere else or study at home. But when the first year is over and he gets home for summer, he finds out that he has a little sister now and his parents are sure she'll be a great witch someday. There is no time for William. 

For the next 3 years, Will is spiraling down into self-loathing. He takes matters into his own hands at school, adapts, and immitates what everyone else does: kicking those who have fallen, plotting, manipulating. He becomes selfish to keep himself afloat and hurts people before they can hurt him. He is smart and he sells his knowledge. 

And then the ancient magic wakes up and he gets a letter from Hogwarts. His family is beyond relieved but William hates being home when that happens, and locks himself in a room, for hours practicing wandless magic until Fig is there to teach him. They did not need him here before, regarding him with pity in their eyes, walking on eggshells around him, too embarrassed to take him to any of the social gatherings they attended. Why the sudden excitement now? They have their precious little daughter to take care of. Will just wants to be left alone.

Will is wearing a mask, a sweet sunshine of a 5th year while loathing everything on the inside: he was supposed to be here years ago! Everyone takes their magic for granted and does not even try to reach their full potential while Will spends days and nights, studying, trying to catch up and succeeding. 

Elland has studied at Hogwarts since year one in this AU, and he is the one who shows Will Hogsmeade the day the trolls attack. He saves Will by accident, his own ancient magic waking up at that moment. Will does not even realize it until later. He hates it. Elland has always had everything, and he's a bloody muggle-born, he does not understand! And now without any effort he also sees the rare kind of magic, the kind Will felt like he deserved to wield, for all the shit he went through in the past 4 years. Elland has no right to have ancient magic! Will thinks that, all the while mesmerized by Elland, his stupid selfless acts, him saving Will. It infuriates the Slytherin the most: Elland effortlessly understands it all right off the bat and then risks his life for somebody else instead of protecting himself. Somebody Elland has only just met! It is Will who is weak, Will had to protect himself from that blow instead of feeling indebted to this lucky Hufflepuff. It's unfair.

Throughout the year Will gets closer with the Rookwood's gang. Rookwood finds out Will wields ancient magic or more so he thinks he found Will when in fact Will overheard them threatening Elland at some point and played his own cards right. Rookwood is using Will, controlling him with promises of power in the Repository. Will lets himself be used, he is not naive, not after all the things he went through. He knows he is resourceful and will be useful to Rookwood and Ranrok as a spy. He had to use his own body countless times to manipulate people into telling him things, moving pawns around. The only one he cannot quite get to is Rookwood. 

Elland is on the other side, fighting what Will is building without even knowing Will has ancient magic to begin with. Elland is the one with Professor Fig, doing all the ancient magic learning while Will never tells a soul. Well, apart from Rookwood but it was a calculated risk. Will learns to control his power all on his own. He does not need the help of those who reject the potential of the power hidden within the repository. 

Will does not realize at first but he is starting to get used to Elland, and when he does — he rejects the idea with a scoff. Will keeps convincing himself that he needs Elland for his own goals. He needs to keep a close eye on the Hufflepuff. He can't allow himself to really like him, not to mention fall in love! He will just get burned again. Elland, however, considers them close friends and feels something blooming within him but he is not sure about it yet. But Will is adorable when he is blushing, and he has been doing that a lot recently in Elland's presence. 

One day on one of the outings William and Elland clash. Elland sees Will among the Ashwinders and rushes in to help, realizing too late that he was wrong the entire time. Will, his sweet Will, the one has has a lovely smile and blushes when Elland plays him songs on his lute, this Will has been spying on him, passing information onto Rookwood. And Elland is hurt, but not because of all the bad Will has done in his time at Hogwarts but because Will never once shared anything, never told Elland about his past, never allowed even a moment of weakness to show.

Elland tries to convince Will that everything will get better, but Will does not believe a word. He, who has been tricking people for years, does not trust anyone. Even if deep deep inside he wants to. Will can get to the power source on his own, Elland led them where he needed to. Will does not need Elland for anything anymore. Elland, who puts others before his own needs, who is always so helpful, who makes William laugh. This perfect prince, always so sickeningly perfect. This Hufflepuff is too soft. He doesn't understand how worthless Will felt before Hogwarts, how hard it's been for him, how much he craved that what Elland, this muggle-born, was so freely given. 

Will rejects the idea that they are friends, but deep inside he is hurt. Elland doesn't get it. Why wouldn't he let William have at least half of the power to control? William is ready to share if Elland comes with him, joins him! Will thinks that the pain he feels is from the betrayal. He has no idea it's heartbreak: Elland not accepting him, Elland not joining him, Elland telling him what he can and cannot do, just like his parents. William feels like he lost any chances of having Elland by his side. And so, Will has nothing left to lose.

They still have to pretend at school until the end of the year, and for William it is the hardest thing ever. He wants to yell at Elland, asking why he is still trying to be friends with him and why after all that transpired at the Ashwinder's camp Elland is still there. It is breaking Will on the inside. Elland still tries to get through Will, and Will hates how much he wants to accept Elland's help. 

He once again tricks Elland when they go to Olivander to make the special wand. He thought to steal the wand for himself but did not count on Rookwood showing up. It is both Elland and Will that get teleported with Rookwood, William snathing the wand from Elland and giving it to Rookwood. Only for Rookwood to turn on Will as well because with the wand he no longer needs Will. 

It is Elland who saves Will once again, and Will hates it. He wants to hate it. He was discarded by his "allies" once again, what was the point of saving Will, after he has betrayed Elland yet another time? And yet, after Rookwood is defeated Elland still chooses to trust Will, to shake him from this haze. To tell him that Will is not worthless, and that Will deserves to be loved, and that at Hogwarts he does not need to resort to all of this. In just one year Will accomplished more than most of the students can in four years. Will is a brilliant wizard and he does not need to prove anything to anybody! Will does not need to prove anything to Elland...

Will is too shaken to really reply to that barrage of love that Elland is showering him with. He can't think straight. He is so conflicted. They have to get to The Final Repository before Ranrok first and all the thinking can be done later. 

Ranrok gets defeated anyway just as Fig is fated to die underneath Hogwarts as well, yet another blow Will did not expect to cut him so deep. When it comes to the question of what to do with The Final Repository William starts a duel with Elland. He is clinging to the last possible hope of getting that power, proving his family and everyone once and for all that he is so much more. That the kid they discarded as a squib is the most powerful wizard among them. 

If Elland is losing this duel, it is not because he is weak. It is because he feels Will's hesitation. He has seen Will break. He does not want this power to be used at all but by that point he realizes he is so in love with Will he is almost ready to give it all to him. Just the thought of Will possibly dying back during the fight with Roockwood was enough for Elland to fully accept his feelings. 

So while Will is pointing his shaking wand at his defeated friend and goes through his heartwrenching monologue, Elland confesses. He keeps saying I love you until Will stops talking, eyes wide. And then Elland says it some more. Will yells at him to shut up or Will would kill him. Elland does not shut up. The more he says it the more Will loses it to the point when Elland ends up catching him in his arms and Will just slumps in a pile of sobbing mess. He is clinging onto Elland, finally letting all of it go, saying it all back between the broken sobs: I love you, I love you, I love you...

It is a long road for William to start trusting people again, but Elland is there to help him. To pull him out. To talk sense into him. Will doubts he can go back to how was before. But Will is nothing but hopeful.

(21) Dystopian AU + (97) Time Travel 

Okay, but a thought:

What if they’re mutually responsible?

..and it’s going beneath a cut because it got looong

Toby and Claire decide it isn’t fair that Jim has to lose his teenage years to being the Trollhunter, and then they figure out a way to travel back in time to prevent him from becoming the Trollhunter in the first place.

Two key things here: 1) Jim never told them about the exact events of Unbecoming 2) Toby and Claire retain their memories, so they still know about the Killahead Bridge, know they need to stop the changelings, Bular, etc.

Thus, Jim gets to have an oblivious teenagerhood, with one tiny hiccup; he assumes his best friend has gotten together with his long time crush (bc of how much time Toby and Claire are now spending together).  Jim feels betrayed and like Toby’s gone behind his back.  Jim stops talking to both of them. It hurts Toby and Claire, but they accept the sacrifice of their relationships with Jim as a necessary loss for his overall wellbeing and mental health.

Anyways, things progress like Unbecoming.  Despite Claire and Toby’s covert efforts from the shadows, Draal the Trollhunter is tricked into opening the Killahead Bridge.  He is then killed by a reunited Bular and Gunmar.

Claire and Toby make it to Trollmarket, but Blinky and Arrrgh!!! think they’re changelings who’re helping with the invasion and attack them.  They barely make it out of there.  Toby is especially hurt that his wingman/one of his closest friends would literally try to kill him, even though they never met before in this time line.

Right outside of Trollmarket, they get a call from a distraught Jim, who’s begging them to go to the hospital because he’s scared for his mom.  Jim was on his way there on his bike, but he was cornered by Gumm-Gumms.  Jim managed to get away, but he thinks his leg is broken.  Before he can tell Toby and Claire where he is, the line goes dead.

Jim survives, but only because he’s found by Strickler, who despite his alliance with Gunmar, still feels pity for his once-favored student.  Strickler uses dark magics to save Jim’s life and turns him into something closer to the Deep!Jim rather than troll!Jim.  Then, since Jim’s indebted to Strickler for his life, he has no alternative but to join that side as a new, dark champion.

(Because they don’t have the close relationship with Strickler that Jim did, neither Claire nor Toby considered going to Strickler (especially bc they know he’s a changeling).  Also, because the Trollhunter isn’t human, Strickler never realized there could have been a better alternative and always stayed completely evil).

Arcadia is destroyed.  While the Gumm-Gumms celebrate their first victory, the survivors (including the Nunezes, Nana Domzalski, Barbara, Blinky, and Arrrgh!!!) gather.

Previously, while they were still operating from the shadows, Claire and Toby acquired their weapons (the shadow staff and warhammer respectively).  To get everyone out of there to safety, Claire opens a massive portal.  She manages to get everyone, but Barbara, through.

Barbara refused to leave Jim behind and snuck off to find him while everyone else was distracted.  She’s never seen again.

Like in the show, creating the giant portal caused Claire to become corrupted and possessed by Morgana.  However, this time, she makes a deal with Morgana.  She’ll willingly do whatever the sorceress wants so long as Morgana protects her family and the other survivors.  Morgana agrees.  Claire becomes the Pale Lady’s champion in a similar fashion to how Angor Rot was.

Toby goes off on his own to try and find something powerful enough to break the connection between Claire and Morgana, as well as save the world.  He eventually finds the Staff of Avalon, but doesn’t wake Merlin.  He’s distrustful of ancient magical beings.  He saw what happened to Claire, and to Jim.  Toby thinks he’s the world’s last hope and he cannot fall like they did.

While he’s away, Morgana has Claire build an army to lead into war against Gunmar.  The battles are vicious and brutal.  Claire’s side eventually wins, but only to find Morgana has no interest of letting any of them go.  She just wanted to be the one in charge.

Toby hears about all this in passing (he’s unaware that Morgana’s General is Claire specifically - all he knows is that Morgana’s forces are led by a general that must be stopped at all costs).  Using the Staff of Avalon, he steals Merlin’s magic (he didn’t know that’s what he’s done, all he knows is that the Staff is giving him massive power and he’ll take whatever he can get).

Toby then gathers an army of trolls and humans and leads them to battle against Morgana’s forces.

Morgana orders Claire to retaliate in kind.

Neither Toby nor Claire realize they’re fighting each other until they come face to face in the middle of the battlefield.

Bro... the paladin Barry au in your tags,, I'm SCREAMING (also if you had anything about that au you wanted to share I would DIE but obviously only if you want to)

First let me show you the inspiration for this AU:

This is Barry - paladin of Lathander. Along with @tanger-catnip‘s Elven wizard Lup, dozens of hours were sunk into that game. (We probably would have continued playing but their overhaul made the playstyle a lot less fun IMO.)

So here’s some highlights of the paladin AU, below the cut because this is gonna get long...

It opened with Barry in an inn, at the end of riding his circuit, about to make his report to the Order and have some non assigned time. 

Okay, you know what? Lemme just share some of that opening: 

Stripped out of his armor and just in his jeans and undershirt, Barry sank gratefully to the bed. He sat on the edge with a still-warm roll in his hand. The roll was soft and fresh and not something he’d cooked for himself over a campfire so he wasn’t going to question what the meat in it was. It was sheer luxury compared to his rough camps of the last few months.

He downed the roll in a few bites and laid back on the bed. He’d been riding circuit in a rather remote area since mid-winter. Most of the time he’d slept in his chainmail to be more ready to fight at short notice. But the worst of the problems on the route had been dealt with. A nasty group of imps were cleared out, a camp of trolls dealt with, and a hundred other problems taken care of. There were towns that would be safer. And of course the north pass was more ready for travelers and traders now that spring was beginning.

He was once again free to follow divine inspiration instead of the bureaucracy of his order. Neither of those was fair though. The work he’d been doing was necessary. And divine inspiration wasn’t exactly what had led him in most of his time.

Or maybe it was, he didn’t really know. If he found himself on a road maybe he was led there by his calling even if it didn’t come with a booming voice in his head or a divine light guiding him. In more than thirty years he’d never personally experienced either of those.

With that thought in mind, he closed his eyes and tried Divine Sense. This was usually what he did when he was wasn’t under direct orders from the cathedral. Whenever he tried this, the best he could hope for was some vague sense of ‘east’ or ‘inland’ that could have been anything, certainly could have been his own thoughts. Still, he concentrated on letting Lathander work through him, direct his thoughts to somewhere he was needed, somewhere he was destined to…

He was up and reaching for his armor before he was even aware. Despite years of experience donning his gear in a hurry, he couldn’t yank things on fast enough. Once his chain mail was in place, he began buckling his chest plate before he stopped.

This problem he’d sensed was nearby… very near. If he went blazing downstairs again in full plate, shield on his back, and mace at his side, then that was a clear indication that he was ready to fight. Fighting might be avoided if he were calmer, more cautious.

Everything in him rebelled at the thought. He was needed now and he needed his gear. He didn’t slow to consider anything else. Once his plate armor pieces were strapped on over his mail he pulled on his helm and grabbed his mace and shield.

So the idea was that he was being directed - and far more overtly than he’d ever been before - to save Lup. She was in trouble very, very close, and he (taking a page from Magnus) rushed in to save her.

Only she’s not so happy to be saved. She and Taako had gotten mixed up in some nefarious stuff and Taako has gone missing. The bad guys of the moment have brought her in to account for her missing brother - or more importantly the stuff he was supposed to have retrieved. When Barry busts in she’s being interrogated while suffering the effects of a torturous poison that will kill her if she doesn’t answer them satisfactorily enough to be given healing/the antidote.

Facing this and worried about her brother, she definitely doesn’t want a nosy paladin getting involved. Unfortunately for her wishes, the bad guys decide she doesn’t have the information he wants and abandons her to the poison and the paladin. 

In this AU these two are definitely not pining from the start. They kind of hate each other or close to it. She sees him as both the person who is responsible for the predicament she ends up in (essentially indebted to his Order for her healing and further than ever from finding her brother) and he’s not too thrilled to be saddled with this angry, unwilling “assistant” as well as reminded he’s getting to the age he should retire from his duties after one last round of patrol, this time with a trainee.

Of course this is enemies to lovers, they uncover a mass conspiracy reaching to unexpected places and come across some familiar characters during their travels. Their first assignment, for example, ends up being to find out what’s been slaughtering the livestock at the farm of Magnus and Julia Burnsides. 

Oh, and Barry wears bluejeans under his chainmail.

💡 What inspires you to write the muse? 

tbh in general i don’t really have ‘active’ inspirations?? i just kinda... think about the character and be like ‘yeah i feel like writing them today’ lmao. especially for characters like soroll, whose muse tends to pop up when i read an open rp and think ‘yeah he could work in this scenario’, rather than some sort of external inspiration if that makes sense?

I guess for katrin i have a lot of songs that remind me of her + her relationships, so i tend to think about her more whenever they pop up on shuffle. also things like watching shows/playing games with either time travel plots or super-powerful/basically godlike female villain protagonists give me the Big Kat Vibes, but that more applies to her sgrub au counterpart than current!kat

Tho for ashell my muse for him increases tenfold whenever i encounter a food i used to love but now can’t eat cuz of my fructose intolerance LMAO. not being able to eat garlic is truly Suffering when garlic powder is in literally fucking everything

📑 Favorite part of your muse’s backstory? 

A lot of katrin’s backstory has been a bunch of doom and gloom, so i like all the little moments that started out terrible, but somehow worked out for her in the end. like how she ended up working for barsho as reparations for how she pretty much ruined his reputation by ‘advertising’ his store (read: swapping people’s wallets with business cards for his boutique). she thought it was a great plan, and even though she’s now forever indebted to him, they’ve got this weird kinda friendship going on as a result of it that I like? idk its a fun dynamic

My fav part of soroll’s backstory is how he had a big scene phase when he was younger, just cuz it’s something that’s really silly but also something he looks back on fondly instead of feeling embarrassed over it. obvs now it’s not such a big deal since Scene Is Back Babey!!, but back when i made him it was still considered ‘’’cringy’’’, so i like how he always took it in stride and was like ‘yeah i’ve grown out of it but i had a lot of fun back then so its cool’

Ashell doesn’t really have a lot to his backstory other than how he died, but i like his old friendship with vallis and his time living in vernrot harbour. it might be weird for me to say that my fav part about their friendship is how it just drifted apart naturally with no regrets or bad blood between them, but considering a lot of my trolls’ past relationships usually end poorly it’s a nice change of pace for me. and him now being an outsider to his old town is also fun since he’s now aware of how Freaky and Eldritch vernrot is, so the idea of him needing to adjust to a normal lifestyle has the potential to be really funny imo

⌨ What’s a situation you’ve always wanted to RP with the muse? 

I’ve always liked the idea of katrin meeting someone she knows while she’s in her red-eyed raccoon get-up and having to help them in some way, but also trying to hide her identity from them. something like her saving them from some thugs or encountering them after they’ve been in a Bad Situation. bonus points if the other trolls knows it’s very obviously her, but doesn’t draw any attention to it so she thinks she’s being slick LMAO

As for soroll, i don’t really have any plots in particular i’d like to rp with him? other than just general friendship and maybe quad plots. i like the idea of him having a moirail who is super reckless so he has someone to fuss over, but i have no clue what he’d want in his red or black quads rip. maybe a plot with him talking more about his involvement in the red scarves would be interesting, but it wouldn’t really lead anywhere since he can’t be ‘saved’ from that situation

And for ashell... i’m a simple gay i just wanna plot romance LMAO. he’s got a problem where he develops lowkey crushes on every guy he meets but never acts on them, and 95% of the time he’s happy remaining their friendly doctor who also pesters them about making sure they’re eating well and getting enough sleep. but he’s very afraid of someone showing interest back, so i think it’d be interesting if his feelings were reciprocated for once. and then ashe has to confront the mortifying ideal of being loved and entering a committed relationship that could potentially last longer than like a week

Soushi: Nope, I’m, technically, your guard. It’d be bad if I got drunk, right? I’ll refrain, boss. No, Shuten douji-sama.

Shiki: Every time I hear words like “boss” or “sama” coming from your mouth, it doesn’t sit well with me… it’s disturbing.

Soushi: But it’s true, isn’t it?

Shiki: So what if it is? Call me by my name like always: Shiki. In the first place, Soushi, you’re not my guard or anything, and not my subordinate. You’re my cute little brother. No need to hold back.

Shiki: Someone who really intends to serve well won’t expressly say it.

Soushi: *chuckles* Well, that’s true. As a matter of fact, this position is just an appeal to the outside, a kind of self-defense. If I talk too familiarly with the boss, there are some noisy people that will complain.

Shiki: Hm. It’s not like I mind, though.

Soushi: I’m sure there are people who honour hierarchy and discipline too.

Shiki: If you say that, then what about me? Even the self-important guys from the heavens are merrymaking at the knees of those who are called the administrators of justice, the Black and White Tenko. It wouldn’t be strange if we got a divine judgement right now.

Soushi: Ahhh… I agree with that too. Because here, the Tsukino Shrine, does work as a shrine, but… in short, is a sacred place where the Black and White Tenko sleep, right? It is because of their powers that gods, youkai and humans, all creatures of existence are in all cases equal, and naturally exist. It’s right in the midst of this mysterious world. Wouldn’t it be bad if you’re not a bit more reserved?

Shiki: Yes, it’s exactly that. You know it well, Soushi. In this place, hierarchy doesn’t exist. Worthless titles, differences in power, rules set by someone whose face you don’t even know… all of them don’t matter. That is to say?

Soushi: Ah… ahaha. So you’re taking it there. Okay, okay, I got it. Follow me no matter what happens, right? Can’t be helped. I will accompany you, Shuten douji-sama.

Shiki: Soushi.

Soushi: Correction, Shiki-san.

Shiki: Good.

Soushi: *drinks* This is really good.

Shiki: Right? To tell you the truth, it’s Rikka’s handmade.

Soushi: Aaah, that beautiful snow woman… no, snow man… that’s what I should call him? It’s his handmade? Then no wonder it’s so good. That person is super good at cooking, right?

Shiki: Apparently it’s an indispensable ability for the snow women tribe to seduce human men. The ability to do housework. Cleaning, laundry, cooking. You name it.

Soushi: That’s nice… won’t someone introduce me to Rikka-san…?

Shiki: Oh? Ohh… you’re at that age, Soushi?

Soushi: Well, I’m… unlike you, young and active.

Shiki: Wait. Wait, wait, wait. Don’t call me a withered old man.

Soushi: Eeeh, but you’re actually an old man, aren’t you? How old are you now?

Shiki: Hm? If I remember right… a young and energetic 1200 something years old, I think…

Soushi: You’re already out for not being able to say your age properly. Anyway, “young and energetic” sounds like a bit of a stretch.

Shiki: Why? Look at this supple and radiant skin.

Soushi: Your appearance was that of an eternal 26 year old, was it?

Shiki: Exactly. If I was a human, it would probably be the age where I’d be more productive, both mind and body-wise.

Soushi: And you’re saying it yourself?

HELLO it’s been 84 years but it’s finally here!!! Tsukino Demon Parade!!!

For those who don’t know, Tsukino Demon Parade (月野百鬼夜行, Tsukino Hyakki Yakou) is an official youkai AU (?) that was made for a collaboration with Animate shops, and includes some drama tracks broadcasted in Animate shops and buses, which then were collected and released in a drama CD along with a special track.

This is the summer edition which was released back in August, and includes the following characters: Shiki, Tsubasa, Shu, Eichi, Sora, Mori, Soushi, Kouki and Mamoru. The winter edition with Rikka, Dai, Ichiru, Issei, Ren, Nozomu, Ken and Ryouta will be released next January, so look forward to that too.

I’ll be refreshing the settings of the characters that appear in each track so from this track we have (click on the character names for illusts):

Shiki: Shuten-douji (酒呑���子), a mythical oni leader and a heavy drinker

Soushi: Oni (鬼), a kind of youkai in Japanese folklore, variously translated as demons, devils, ogres, or trolls.

And they don’t appear mentioned as characters per se but:

Haijme and Shun: Black and white Tenko (天狐), a high-ranking fox spirit and the leaders of the Tsukino shrine

I wasn’t sure if I should split tracks 1 and 2 until the very end because track 1 is wayyy too short so I decided to put them together, but if it’s confusing just tell me and I’ll split them!

Hahaha, they are. OMG. 

FROZEN AU WITH A TWIST HEADCANONS:

Hmmm, ok so my thoughts are what if Gladion and Lillie ran away from home together. 

Maybe Lillie and he were young when it happened, and they were simple people. 

And the curse was hereditary but it only occurred in every other child with the same blood. 

And maybe Lillie inherited it and when it manifested she accidentally froze Mohn so Lusamine got angry about it and almost killed her so Gladion took her and they fled to Alola…

… where Reader happens to be the Monarch with cousin Hau being the friendly Palace Guard leader. 

And then, one day Lillie manifests again. 

She’s been concealing her powers but concealing them only makes things harder. 

And when Gladion goes out with his trusty partner Lillie suddenly freezes half the village of Po Town leaving the place uninhabitable and always raining. 

Lillie is distraught by this and decides to run away again this time on her own but she bumps into the Monarch of Alola on a stroll to check on the islands and the leadership (also, the castle is pretty nearby) and recognises the signs of underdeveloped magical ability. 

The Monarch, ironically, is magically uninclined, in fact, all magic doesn’t work on him/her. 

Turns out, Monarch and Hau were close to a village of trolls growing up that immunised them to curses and magic to the point that they practically nullify Lillie’s curse if she’s around them or regulate it. 

Thus, whenever Lillie’s out and about or feeling off-kilter, she has Gladion take her to the palace to visit you. 

Lillie likes hanging out with Hau though, since he helps her rediscover things that were once impossible with her magic.

And of course this means Gladion spends more time with you.

Gladion gets to witness you rule Alola and talk to the common folk and generally be a good monarch.

Eventually, you ask about his ice business and Gladion admits he hates the work.

So you offer him a job and rooms at the castle so he and Lillie don’t have to live in some sleazy motel and walk to the castle.

Gladion doesn’t want to be indebted to you though, so he declines.

Except, he catches movement from the corner of his eye and manages to save you from an assassination.

And Hau is like… “oops, my bad”

Gladion is v disappointed with the Captain of your Palace Guard.

“Well, look on the bright side! Now, I can Knight you without you feeling indebted to me.”

“This is not funny, someone just tried to kill you.”

“But, you saved me!”

Gladion becomes v obsessed with your protection, at first he thinks it’s because its his job but really he’s pretty much fallen for you.

He catches Lillie sometimes in the Palace library studying magic and wonders if he should tell her. 

Lillie totally knows, though.

One day, Lusamine will come to the Castle demanding that you return her kids so she can slay Lillie.

And of course you’re like fq no you’re nuts.

Lusamine did not like that.

As evidenced by her using her ice powers against you.

HAH! Too bad, that stuff doesn’t work on you lol, it slumps to the ground and becomes slush.

And Lusamine keeps trying but all she’s getting is slush up until she faints.

You have some trolls look after her and it turns out her supressing her own powers put a curse on her heart that only true love can fix.

Gladion and Lillie tell you their sad story.

“Wait… I can totally thaw out your dad, though.”

“What?”

“Yeah, I mean, I thawed out Po Town-”

So you thaw out Mohn and he and Lusamine end up living in a nice cottage on the outskirts of Mele Mele while Lillie becomes the Castle Mage.

And Gladion proposes to you, well… because Lillie made him on threat of freezing to death but still!

A Harry Potter AU Concept:

A Harry Potter AU where every single thing is normal except Hermione Granger is a weeb. She particularly liked Sailor Moon. I know the classic English dub didn't actually air until 1999 and the English release of the Manga wasn’t until August 1997, but for the sake of this AU lets pretend that the Japanese release of the first manga (1991) co-insides with the English release as opposed to the original dates.

Hermione Granger, 11 years old, was out clothes shopping with her mum, and wanted something to read, as she knew how long it would take. She picks up a Mixxzine Magazine, thinking “This is a light read. It will have to do.” So at first, she’s annoyed because when she flips through it after purchase, there are pictures, like a comic. So, she’s a little disappointed. Nonetheless, Hermione sat down on a chair outside of the changing rooms, with the Magazine in her face. It eventually gets to that bloody comic, and she sighs, but reads on anyway.

And she finds that she loves it. It made her laugh, it was intriguing, there was a backstory. And though it wasn’t a traditional book, it was still a story. So, August continues, and by the 20th, she knows this first part of Sailor Moon off by heart - she can recite each sentence and action and emotion. It really helped her nerves because she would be starting secondary school in something like ten days.

But then, of course, McGonagall arrives and tells her that she’s a witch. Magic exists. She finds herself pursing her lips and sitting on her hands to make sure she doesn’t randomly yell “MOON PRISM POWER MAKEUP” and scare this nice lady.

At first, before they quickly came around to the idea, Mr and Mrs Granger thought this was some elaborate prank, knowing how much this Sailor Moon meant to Hermione and they didn’t want to get her hopes up. But, her mum in the end, is convinced due to the robes that this Professor McGonagall wore and purely by how old the woman looked. She was serious. Not to mention the bookshelf incident that happened when Hermione was nine.

So, McGonagall takes Hermione to Diagon Alley, to buy school supplies, her parents waiting in their car, in muggle London. Hermione is keeping her questions very serious, but she really wants to ask how spontaneous magic can be. Could she transform like Usagi did in Sailor Moon? But she never did find the courage to ask, especially after they got her wand from Ollivander’s. It was like a more traditional version of magic. Damn it.

She put down the magazine and until she started her school year, she decided to buy loads of books to read to educate herself about the school and the background of Magic. She learned that, even though she couldn’t just have a magical object-that one wouldn’t just present itself to her-she could make one. And, for Hermione, that was good enough. She really wanted a magical broach.

Before Hermione left for Kings Cross, brushing off her skirt to make sure she looked smart, she asked her mum to keep sending her the issues of that magazine, so she could keep up with the story.

She goes off to Hogwarts on the Hogwarts Express, and is really desperate to take out the magazine, but forces herself to learn a few simple spells. She knows she’s clumsy, she she thinks it best to learn Reparo first-branching into the specifics, like Oculus Reparo.

Neville, a boy who had lost his Toad, Trevor, asks her whether or not she had seen the amphibian. She hadn’t, and wishes him luck, almost dismissing him. Then she thinks, “Wait. Hold on. I could be like Usagi. I could help people.” So she jumps to her feet, and runs down the train, where she says that she would help him look for Trevor.

That was when she met Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Again, she helps someone, by fixing Harry’s glasses, and when she realises who he is, Hermione again was very excited. Harry was seen as a Hero. He could help her to become more of a heroic type, and that would mean she’d be one step closer to being like Usagi!

She’s sorted into Gryffindor, which pleases her because it meant she had the skills to be a heroine.

As the year goes on, she clings to the magazines that her parents send her via owl, and to her studies, to ensure that she was always learning, and getting better at magic. That broach didn’t seem so far away now.

Her confidence is knocked by Ron once, when he calls her a nightmare, and though she makes great friends out of the incident, her confidence is slightly knocked again when the boys take on the Troll for her as she coward in fear. She could have done that if she wasn’t so surprised and afraid. Was she really capable of being a heroine after all?

During the summer, Hermione’s magazine stops providing Sailor Moon chapters, instead informing readers that the paperback Manga issues are now being sold, so she buys every single one that is currently out and reads them to death. Harry, who by now is her great friend, is made aware of her love for Sailor Moon, and enjoys exchanging letters and seeing how her writing becomes more unreadable as she gets herself more excited when talking about it. She doesn’t do this with Ron though, as she’s afraid he’ll make fun of her for it. And keeping to her small vow to behave like a hero and help anyone, she makes writing a homework reminder for each piece they were given in her letters to both of the boys.

Second year rolls around, on the train, she’s worried about her friends. Hoping that they’re okay, she distracts herself with another spell new and a re-read of the newest issue of her manga and then a new tale she picked up from a muggle bookstore before she got to the station that morning.

At breakfast, having demanded to know where they were yesterday before the feast, and then bickering with Ron for a while, Hermione asked them how their summers had been. Ron said it was as eventful as ever with the twins around, and Harry said the only thing that had kept him going was his summer homework and letters from his friends. They tell her about what happened in Diagon Alley with the Malfoys and then Harry accidentally mentions Lockhart. Hermione zoned out upon hearing the name. Gilderoy Lockhart. Perhaps he could be her Tuxedo Mask.

The Mudblood incident left Hermione incredibly deflated. She didn’t have much of an ego before hand, but now it was definitely gone.

The petrifications in school were frightening, and she was incredibly delighted when Harry and Ron wanted to investigate them. The best friend squad was on the case!

Then, of course, the Polyjuice incident had brought Hermione to a low point. So much so that she began to feel as though her magical broach wasn’t happening, and a magical destiny wasn’t waiting for her. She tucked the Sailor Moon mangas into a dark crevice of her trunk and focused on her studies for a while, to make sure something like that never happened again.

She found that studying, knowing more, brought up her confidence again. That, and she would need all the information she could get to solve the petrifications

The day she finally had a break through, she was petrified. And though she doesn’t remember much about that period of time, she was trying to figure out how she had brought herself to rip out a page from a book, when she could have just checked the book out. It was probably the adrenaline rush she experienced upon having finally found a lead.

After she was cured of her petrification, there was another issue of Sailor Moon on her bed. Pavarti had profusely apologised about opening the package, making it up to Hermione with with some Honeydukes chocolate that she had asked an older Gryffindor to get. When she asked why she had opened it, the girl had confessed that she just wanted to understand Hermione a bit better, and though she still didn’t understand her by opening the package, Hermione had said that if Pavarti wanted to, they could exchange letters in the summer.

Harry had told her that, with Dumbledore’s guidance, he had freed Dobby from the Malfoys and rescued Ginny from the chamber of secrets. Harry was definitely a Hero and she was grateful to know him. But his account of recent events had also allowed her to realise that Lockhart was a fraud, which made her instinctively apologise to Ron for having ever spend more than a minute thinking about the DADA Professor.

That summer, she returns home to find that her mother had made sure to record the animated adaption of Sailor moon that had been first broadcast in early spring. Hermione was completely indebted to her mother for this kind deed.

This is Leader Flame, kind of like King Peppy or Queen Delta Dawn, he is the leader of the rural village! The village itself is full of different kinds of trolls :0

The pop trolls that escaped the Troll Tree, and other genres of trolls, who all have either gotten lost or ran away from something..
